This public park at the foot of Mount Wakakusa was established in 1880, making it one of the oldest parks in Japan. It is famous for its 1,200 wild sika deer freely roaming around in the park and partly includes some landmarks such as the Nara National Museum, plus the Tōdai-ji, Kōfuku-ji, and Kasuga Shrines.
