Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ)
This border barrier is lined by both sides with guard posts, razor wire, heavy armaments, tank traps and land mines, having been created by agreement between North Korea, the People's Republic of China and the United Nations Command in 1953. It runs across the Korean Peninsula and serves as a buffer zone between North Korea and South Korea.
