Xi'an (Xian)
This city is one of the oldest in China and often called the birthplace of Chinese civilization. It is also the starting point of the Silk Road and home to the Terracotta Army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China. Xi'an is now an important cultural, industrial and educational megacity of central-northwest China.
