Victoria (British Columbia)
This southernmost major city in Western Canada was named after Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom and is one of the oldest cities in the Pacific Northwest, being settled by the British starting in 1843. It is famous for its historic landmarks, in particular the Parliament Buildings, Empress hotel, and its Chinatown neighborhood.
