The "crown jewel" of California's 280 state parks, Point Lobos has been described as "greatest meeting of land and water in the world" and "one of the richest marine habitats in California". Point Lobos features a number of hiking trails, many alongside the ocean, a smaller number of beaches, and the historic Whalers Cabin, which is now the home of a museum.
