Pantanal
This natural region mostly in western Brazil contains the world's largest tropical wetland area and the world's largest flooded grasslands. Roughly 80% of the Pantanal floodplains are submerged during the rainy seasons, creating a unique and diverse ecosystem of flora and fauna, including birds, fishes, mammals, reptiles and amphibians.
