Orkney Islands

This island archipelago in the Northern Isles of Scotland has a rich history, having been inhabited for at least 8,500 years, and contains some of the oldest and best-preserved Neolithic sites in Europe, such as the "Heart of Neolithic Orkney" on the Mainland.
