This country house in southwest England was built between 1568 to 1580 by Sir John Thynne and is considered one of the finest examples of Elizabethan architecture in Britain. It continues to be the seat of the Thynn family, plus is famous for its safari park, the first such park outside Africa, and its hedge maze.
