Historical Core of George Town (Penang)
The historical core of George Town is the oldest portion of the city centre, recognised as having a "unique architectural and cultural townscape without parallel anywhere in East and Southeast Asia", and contains one of the largest collections of pre-war buildings in Southeast Asia. This zone includes the city's administrative precinct, its main Central Business District, along with various attractions and landmarks.
