Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park
Once the city’s busiest downtown commercial and residential district and the epicentre of the atomic bomb dropped on August 6, 1945, this park was created from an open field left after the explosion. Today this site is a famous tourist attraction with many memorials, monuments, museums, and lecture halls.
