William Randolph Hearst built this fabulous estate on his ranchland in 1919, and called it "La Cuesta Encantada" - Spanish for The Enchanted Hill. Now, the hilltop complex is open to the public for a fee, and contains a twin-towered main building, three guesthouses, plus 127 acres of terraced gardens, fountains, and pools.
