Château de Chambord
This uncompleted châteaux is one of the most recognisable in the world because of its very distinctive French Renaissance architecture which blends traditional French medieval forms with classical Renaissance structures. Built in the 16th century to serve as a hunting lodge for Francis I, it is the largest château in the Loire Valley and a major tourist landmark.
