This sculpture was created by Sicilian artist Arturo Di Modica and placed outside the New York Stock Exchange in 1989 following the 1987 stock market crash. It was shortly relocated to the nearby Bowling Green park, where it stands today as a symbol of aggressive financial optimism and prosperity.
