First held in 1979, this 4-day event in August now sees teams from the UK and all parts of the world bring their hot air balloons to Ashton Court country estate and participate in mass ascents. A sky full of balloons, glowing to music at night, followed by fireworks displays and mass celebrations draws hundreds of thousands of people to this festival every year.
